I decided to accept a challenge… Yeah, I thought I had outgrown that stuff in high school, but this actually sounds like fun.
I’ve joined a bunch of other writers in the National Write a Novel in a Month Challenge!
Here’s the link to the page where you can follow my progress:

Since I started a new novel last week and I have a lot of previous holiday commitments the last week of the month, I’m going to jumpstart with what I have so far. And to be fair, my personal shutoff date is going to be midnight, Friday, November 23rd. I will either be finished or drop out by that date.
Ouch!!! I just read the rules and I can’t do it this way.
NanoWriMo rules:
I have a lot to do in November. Can I start in October and end early?
No. One of the best things about NaNoWriMo is the way it spreads the agony of creation throughout a large community of co-sufferers. For the pain to be properly distributed (and thereby diminished), all participants must be working on the same deadline.
Well, I guess I’ll have to play fair and according to the rules. I’ll have to come up with another idea tomorrow. Screw it! It will STILL be fun!!!
